Sheryl Underwood is an American comedian, TV host and actress best known for hosting the popular daytime talk show The Talk. She was born and brought up in Little Rock. Sheryl comes out of an extremely troubled family. She was a troubled child. childhood taking care of her sister Frankie who suffered from polio. When she was a child, she had an uneasy relationship to her maternal grandmother. Sheryl says that her mother had a time when she stabbed her father for getting too close. Sheryl was a soldier after she graduated from university. But, she was interested in the field of comedy. She became the first woman to be a finalist in the competition Miller Lite Comedy Search held in 1989. Her first TV job in the year 1992, having a frequent appearance as a comedian on HBO's comedy show Def Comedy Jam. She hosted the television show Oh Drama! in 2000. The show has also featured her as host on The Talk since 2011. She's appeared in fictitious series such as Bulworth Nikki Beauty Shop and others.
